Blindspots — a pandemic response atlas
Testing visibility against local socioeconomic conditions
Measured COVID incidence partly reflects who gets tested, not only who is infected. This prototype atlas joins testing visibility with socioeconomic conditions across Île-de-France, so a low case count can be distinguished from a low detection rate.
- Three interactive map layers — testing visibility, IRIS-level socioeconomic conditions, and a 200m Paris grid from Filosofi data.
- Joins surveillance data with local context so undervisibility can be read directly off the map.
- Points toward targeted intervention in blindspot areas rather than broad undifferentiated lockdowns.
